The Creative Resistance of Horacek & Merrilees. This session will look at the intersection of political dissent and artistic practice in the works of cartoonist Judy Horacek and author Margaret Merrilees. Both creators utilise distinct narrative mediums to confront themes of injustice, environmental crises and the ageing body, transforming their anger into art. Horacek’s satirical visual language and Merrilees’s incisive prose serve as mechanisms of protest, exploring the role of creative subversion in contemporary social commentary.
